STANDARD SAFETY PROCEDURES
We always employ extensive measures to protect our patients and our team from the spread of infections.

We are a QIP Accredited practice which means that our policies processes are assessed by a third party to meet all regulations to a high standard

We consistently take "universal precautions” to provide a safe environment as detailed in the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care and the NSQHS guidelines

We meticulously follow all relevant guidelines for disinfection of patient areas

We ensure sterilization of instruments

We treat surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectants that kill all viruses and bacteria

We autoclave dental instruments to eliminate all viruses and bacteria

We use disposable, single-use supplies when applicable

ENHANCED SAFETY PROCEDURES
In addition to our standard safety procedures, we are adding the following enhanced safety procedures regarding requirements for entry to our clinics, our waiting room, restrooms, clinical rooms to protect our patients, and team from the spread of the coronavirus:

Alcohol Based Hand Sanitizer is provided and must be used upon entry of the clinic

We frequently disinfect all handles, doors, and chairs in the practice

We ask that only one parent/guardian/support person can accompany a patient into the surgery

We wear enhanced Personal Protective Equipment

We require all patient to rinse with a viricidal mouth rinse prior to any examination or treatment

We have installed sneeze guard barriers at the front desk area

We have installed signage to assist and educate our patients regarding appropriate infection control and hand hygiene practices.
